So this is a contest with myself to see how many clichés I can cram into three minutes and I think I won, no?
I'm all about the cheese on the first tune. In the lyrics, I reference Blue Öyster Cult's "Burnin' For You" and hence the title, a reference to the unadulterated, unabashed schmaltziness of the track. "Burnin' For You" is one of the all-time greats and if you disagree you're dead to me.
lyrics
You're like a force of nature
Every time that you enter the room
Your lips like dynamite hit mine
And then baby my heart goes boom, boom
You make me wanna scream and shout
Don't tell me you don't know exactly what I'm talking about
All I know is where there's smoke there's fire
And I'm smoldering and burning for you
I can't let go, like a moth before flame
Consumed by all that you do
All that you do
Well, if life is like a prom
You got my sorry back up off of the wall
Yeah, with you it's all-or-nothing
And baby, you know that I choose all, all
You're different from all the rest
We said "For better or for worse"
But baby, you know this is the best
All I know is where there's smoke there's fire
And I'm smoldering and burning for you
I can't let go, like a moth before flame
Consumed by all that you do
All that you do
I can't imagine how I ever got here
I'm just some sorry, stupid schmuck
With earbuds dangling out of my ears
But I'm glad that with your hazel eyes
You saw the best in me
So girl, you know it's not my fault
You got me singing like Blue Öyster Cult
"I'm burning for you"
All I know is where there's smoke there's fire
And I'm smoldering and burning for you
I can't let go, like a moth before flame
Consumed by all that you do
All that you do
All that you do, oh oh, oh oh
All that you do
All that you do
All that you do

I went to high school with the band's guitarist Scott. I saw them a while back and they make pretty heavy post-metal in the Isis/Pelican vein. Wild Rose Chance
